Dispatch #024 When the Weight Starts to Win
“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”
—2 Chronicles 15:7
There’s a point that comes—not always loudly, but it hits hard. You’ve been showing up. You’ve been faithful. You’ve served, prayed, buried, counseled, sacrificed. And one day, you sit still long enough to feel it. It’s not burnout. It’s not a crisis. It’s just weight. And it’s winning.
You look around and it feels like the ones who know how to play the game are the ones moving forward. They say the right things, never step out of line, always keep it surface-level. And you? You’ve told the truth. You’ve carried real burdens. You’ve done the thankless work—and it’s made you tired.
The calls still come. The calendar stays full. The uniform still fits. But something in you starts asking, Is it making any difference?
You’re not quitting. You’re not walking away. But something’s shifting. The fire’s dim. The voice of doubt gets louder: This isn’t working. No one sees it. It doesn’t matter.
And that’s where the enemy does his best work. Not in temptation, but in slow erosion. He doesn’t need to take you out. He just needs to make you tired enough to stop pushing.
He’ll whisper, You're replaceable. Forgotten. Stuck. God’s using someone else now.
He wants you to believe that steady obedience is wasted. That your silence is weakness. That your pain is proof you missed it.
He’s a liar.
“Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
—Galatians 6:9
You’ve come too far to listen to that voice now. The Kingdom doesn’t need celebrities. It needs soldiers. Quiet ones. Wounded ones. Faithful ones.
You don’t have to feel strong. You don’t need applause. You just have to stand your ground and refuse to walk away from the post God assigned you.
So if you’re exhausted right now—mentally, spiritually, physically—you’re not alone. You’re not weak. You’re in the fight.
And the weight you feel? It’s not because you’re failing.
It’s because you’re carrying something sacred.
This isn’t about being impressive. It’s about being obedient. Keep going.
